Chesed, Kindness, manifests and actualizes God’s absolute, unlimited benevolence and kindness. It is the total outpouring of Shefa שפע, abundance. It is the divine attribute which describes the function of expansion. Hesed is associated in the soul with the desire to embrace all of Creation and bestow goodness upon it.
